Crazy. I just had an a833 shipped on a pallet from east Coast to Denver for $350ish
Growing older is mandatory...growing up is optional.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

What amazes me is that "they" (politicians/big business) will keep squeezing us until our eyeballs pop out. They have an extremely short memory. Either that or they think that something called "the French Revolution" can never happen here. With the situation in the U.S. where it looks like better than half or more of Americans will never be able to afford they're own house anymore, they better ease off on the choke hold and give us just a few more crumbs or they are going to be in for a big surprise. I've seen far too many times in my life where the "that can't happen to us" mindset has delivered Titanic results. They got an education. I just don't want it to be in the form of chaos in our country. I'm trying to retire dammit! I just want to go out to pasture peacefully.

Ok, time for a beer.  :drinkingbud:

LTL would demolish a grill on a pallet.

And UPS might well run over the box with a forklift and then deny the claim saying it wasn't packaged good enough!

Over the years I have seen that scenario.

The funny thing is unless you get lucky and can find one or build it yourself, a 72"X48" pallet costs $500. You can't win.

Quote from: 70vert on January 12, 2025, 10:50:27 AMMy wife opened an account with Pirate Ship, it's free and you get discounted rates from USPS or UPS. We use it for sending presents, her stitching stuff, and parts that I have sold. It is generally a pretty good discount! You put in all the shipping info, then print out a label, then drop it off at any UPS location (they accept pre-paid USPS). It also supports international shipping.

Check it out https://ship.pirateship.com/

Has she had good luck? I checked reviews for them and it came back 57% negative. That scared me off. Glad you guys are in the 43%.  :bigthumb:

Interesting, we have used it for over 3 years now and no real complaints. I've shipped stuff (not always car parts) to Canada & Europe using PirateShip, and lots of domestic US shipping.
I'll have to go read the reviews to see why they were bad.

I would..It's hobby after all. Good chance you will do a good job especially with all our peanut gallery advice.
And if you balls it all up and waste a couple hundred, drop it off on your way to Carlisle next year....
