I have a western sport special and am familiar with the options. I'm not exactly sure I understand what a "western sport special" actually is, meaning was it only an option available in the western us? Or is it just a play on the western theme dodge had? I thought for a while that it could be some special dealer specific options but I'm thinking it's not that.

I was watching Dead Dodge Garage on you tube and he is working on a '68 barracuda that is a Sport Special. His description detailed many similar items that makes up the Western Sport special, although in the same breath he mentioned an 8-3/4 rear end. If that was part of that package that would be different since the WSS was only a dress up option. It got me thinking if Sport Special was a similar package offered in various years for various cars perhaps with various names like Western Sport Special.

Any thoughts?

LOL why are people on facebook marketplace such lousy sellers? The info is always sparse, they don't want to talk, and the pics suck. Engine? It mentions it is a WSS, but there is no evidence in the photo that it is? Wow. It looks like the trunk has a lot of open air. Wonder what is missing back there.

Anyways, that article had a little bit of info such as the Dart version and says it was a SF and LA region option. But he only touched on a few of the options. The pedals also had a dress up kit on them and the top of the doors had a "belt" moulding. I can't remember if the side rubber bump trim (can't recall what they are called) where part of it, but most I have seen have had it.

Bullitt-

 Good discussion from 20+years ago on Moparts about the 1970 Challenger Western Sport Special...I'll quote the basic info
https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/1776567/1.html

from Barry Washington aka Alaskan_TA "Supposedly as the story goes, they were the brainchild of a view dealerships in California to be built at the LA plant for California sale. The option code for the WSS package is A91 & it was available on JH hardtop cars only. (no R/Ts, convertibles or SE models)

The A91 package is supposed to include;

Western Sport Special decals on the rear quarter panels.
A63 molding package.
Front & rear bumper guards.
Pedal dress up.
Rallye wheels with 14" white wall tires.
Remote control driver side mirror.
Rim Blow steering wheel.
Wood grain instrument panel.
Vinyl roof.

Some basic facts;

All examples known to me are coded N95 which was required for a California sale.
