:unitedstates: I thought there were pictures of the TA and AAR engine parts showing the differences from the standard 340, I thought they were on the AAR site. Are they gone????

                                                   Thank You for any help.

I have a photo of the head differences, but it's on my home computer.

Are you looking for pictures of the heads? Rockers? Block?

Chryco Psycho

here is the comparison picture , T/A is the top with the pushrods holes moved away from the intake ports

The 340 block has extra thick main webs , the std bloc the webs are L shaped & under cut below the deck surface , the 340 T/A block has a full wall & can supprt 4 bolt splayed main caps & has T/A cast on the outside near the casting #

The last pic is the 318 / 349 block with thinner main webs

Thank you to all  for that responded. I was  interested in the head difference because there are a few of 915 castings and I know they are different. I have a person that says he has a pair of TA 915 heads and I know those castings are on some different 340's.

                                                     Thank to all.

There are 915 castings that don't have the relocated pushrod hole. Don't go by cast numbers only !
