Hello All. Is there a difference in seat tracks in E Bodies by years? Is 70 different than 71-74 and such. If there is a difference can anybody show me the difference? Thanks.

YES...70-71 are unique with the inside track locking as well....I think sometime during 72 they switched to a non-locking inside track.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Thanks for the reply. I thought there was but was not positive. I bought a set of the OER Brand seat tracks and they lock on all tracks. Have to use the cable to release opposite side. Thanks.

I personally like the later style. Nothing to adjust and when you move the seat, everything feels nice and smooth.

The later seats have plastic holders for the roller bearings vs the steel ones in 70-71. When the plastic breaks , your out of luck. The steel ones usually just bend back in place or can be fabricated. I think all the repops have plastic.
