looked at a 440+6 4-speed R/T today that was purchased by someone local ~6 months 2-1/2 years ago from  a "reputable dealer", needed some work but was still north of $50K

restamped engine, restamped transmission & FAKE broadcast sheet  other than that it's a pretty COOL! car

Was the broadcast sheet at least based upon the fender tag?

the look & feel of the sheet was very convincing

IMO VIN, fender tag, door sticker, core support stamping were all original - '70 R/T

it has chrome 500s & Radial T/As - owner wants original type wheels & POLYGLAS GT, I was asked what wheels & tires were original then the "fun" began

That's horrible!  Did the dealer know and falsely represent it?  Or did they go on the word of the seller when they bought it.  Any kind of recourse here?

Well.... I guess that's one of the positives to owning a " lowly" /6 car. That and it's not a 1:1 scale diecast and I can drive it anywhere?

Certainly need to check everything when buying something that expensive . . . If anything is questionable, don't do it!

there is nothing wrong in the pic I posted, other than the BROADCAST SHEET was created ~3-years ago

owner of the R/T scoured the internet this morning & found info on people offering aged broadcast sheets for Mopars, called them up & they admitted the sheet was made ~3 years ago & would make another with any changes/corrections for $150.
wouldn't tell him who they made it for, but it was for someone in the same state that he purchased the car from

dealer/broker stated all info/claims are from the owner/consignor & invited him to send someone to check out the car but he declined and purchased the car without a personal inspection.
