I acquired a complete original 71 Rallye dash a few months ago to replace the 72-up one that in in my car.
I knew the speedometer needle was broken, but that would be easy to replace I was told... Upon disassembly, I found that the shaft holding the needle was broken. and it looked like a replacement speedometer would be cheaper than sending the whole thing out to a specialist.
I ordered one from Classic when there was a 30% off sale, came to about 260$ plus shipping.
Side by side, I'd say the face is 90% correct, some numerals are placed a bit differently, font is also slightly different on speed numbers. The numerals on the rolling miles counters are very different. THose are not necessarely evident unless you place the new and old side-by side.
One nice surprise is that it came with the reset knob included.
In my case, though, the new gauge sticks out a bit, as the lettering is much whiter than the faded-a-bit originals... So I'd either want to replace the other gauges, or get the old speedo repaired while I have the new one in in the meantime.
So in cnclusion, definitely not concours-correct, but very good-looking for a driver car!

Report back after it's got 10K miles on it....

Did you have any bad experience with these?

Personally? No... Lots of others have.... I have spare OE stuff, not likely to be buying a repo...

Nice to know now... a bit late for me, but still...
I guess that is the value of a thread like this. Any OEM Rallye speedo for sale? ;-)

I bought the same one and the mileage numbers are getting further off the more miles I put on it. They no longer line up the way they should and I may see about getting my original repaired. Everything else is pretty much ok on the reproduction gauge.
