I think when you factor in the cars location and what it would have cost to get it over there, I'm sure there's a local buyer that will pay up for a quality car. :alan2cents:

A buddy recently sold a 69 Barracuda 340S fastback, the buyer was sending it down under, said it costs him about $2500 to ship a car...   So someones gonna overpay by $30K to save $2500???      Send them my way... I'll take their $$$$$

The cars I shipped to Germany, Sweden etc...were subject to a lot of import taxes, adding to the expense of shipping.  Heck, here in Ontario Canada we pay an additional 13% tax when a car arrives  from the States. :dunno:

I know someone who was selling a concours restored U code superbird and trying to get $125K for it, he had trouble finding a buyer, but eventually someone in Australia bought it.  He said after shipping and import duties, the buyer had $180K in it.  So no one in America would pay 125K, but someone in Australia was willing to fork over $180K to get it in his hands.
