That's a cool car, Barracuda equivalent to my JH N code Challenger.
I don't have production numbers in front of me, however my recollection is that Gran Coupe N code convertibles built was maybe only 38 or 40 or something in that range.
Looks like a heck of a project though, pretty crusty for a California car.  Doesn't even have a 383 engine with it.
Looks like yet another 5150 car. I've been trying to get an idea what those guys are up to and where they came from.  Traveling around finding cars, mostly barn finds, all over the place then trying to flip them.  Are they making enough off YouTube videos to pay for all this, gotta be expensive all the travel, storage and paying for the cars.
Do they make much on flipping cars?  Their stuff is overpriced so you wonder how many cars they sell.  They had a bunch of cars at a Mecum auction last year, and all but a couple they ended up having to take back home with them after the auction ended unsold. Many of those cars are still advertised by them to this day on eBay.
I'm reminded of the underpants gnomes in a classic South Park episode, where the gnomes gave a business presentation to the boys about their business model for stealing all the underpants. The kids sat there looking confused while the gnome wrote "Phase 1: collect underpants  Phase 2: ? Phase 3 profit". So to me, 5150 are the underpants gnomes of the car world. :haha:  Maybe someday I'll figure out the"?" In the 5150 business model.

It would be nice to see this car get back into circulation.

Goodness.
I'm never gonna own a vert.
At that price and sold in one day.  Ridiculous.

I didn't post the posters name, woops.
I like to post the owner so someone can still contact them when it's over.

Tony in Celeste TX is Mopars 5150 I'm pretty sure. In fact here's a video of it on their Instagram page. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGOs5d4SMBi/
Sort of scary looking, I can't imagine anyone paid high 40s for it, that's gonna be an expensive restoration. And when done, what's it worth maybe 80-85 for a restored NOM gran coupe vert?
Still amuses me Plymouth offered a Gran COUPE as a convertible!

Lots of items a Gran Poop has that the barracuda and cuda doesn't have.

Door inserts
argent tail panel
Specific rocker panel mouldings
trunk key surround badge
fender badges
Different seat patterns
Emblem in each seat
Often Leather interiors
Often power windows
Often power top

If I brought that car home and told my wife I paid 47.5 for it, I'd be a dead man!

Effectively the Gran Coupe was the equivalent of the SE offered on Challengers.
Yet Dodge didn't offer the SE package on convertibles. I wonder why.  Though there were a lot of other differences between how Dodge and Plymouth offered their E bodies, we could compile a list of them, the Gran coupe/SE availability on convertibles being just one of many.
