It's a nice clean looking car. The steering wheel and that automatic pistol grip shifter are not my taste. I really don't think trying to make an automatic look like a manual is the right thing to do. The stock automatic shifter is much better looking IMO. When I did the local show circuit years ago you were only allowed a few minor changes before you had to go in the non stock category. What else would you call a car thats been modified and not stock? The range of modifications is huge. I agree the price is way out of line. If I ever sold my car I would never pay what I sold it for to buy another one. But that's just me.

I like it except for the billet wheel. Some guys like me went to the pistol grip shifter on their 727's because of the size of their hands. I wear  XX-LARGE Mechanix gloves and my fingers still hit the end of the glove.

People with money looking for tangible assets to buy with their dollars as the dollar is set to devalue.

I would have shopped for an original T/A or similar car for that money as well. This one is decent, but a one off. Still can't understand no heat / air.... and agree the steering wheel is just wrong for this car. Also why go through all of this work and use an automatic transmission?

Not everybody likes a 4 speed.

Honestly not a fan of automatics in E-Bodies.. I guess it comes from learning to drive in a Cuda with a 4-speed..

As far as the 4 speed? Don't get me wrong, I have only one automatic at home and it is a correct car. But in this case and since it is far from being a correct car, I might put a 5 or 6 speed in the car. Or, my wife might want to keep the automatic because she likes driving an automatic over a manual and really likes the car. Depends on what you like.
