IMO a $20-25k car tops, spatter paint or undercoated trunk, black engine bay, body panels not aligned very well etc.

Maybe he has that much into it but doesnt mean he will get it back.

That engine bay needs some more love for 53k.  Like a ton of love.

I do like the car.

Should be able to buy two Challengers of that vintage for that much money. Looks like a nice driver but its nothing terribly special. I'd be spending a smidge more and looking for convertibles before I'd throw down that kind of money on that car.
