I should grab that guys 71 Challenger grille for $6500 to have for a spare in case mine ever gets damaged! Pick up only though, will be a long drive to WV to pick it up.
Isn't he the same guy who had a cuda convertible quarter panel for $15,000? Did some actually buy that?

I was about to say that $6500 for a new grill wouldn't be too bad if you were restoring a 71 Hemi Challenger worth mid-six figures, but then I looked at pictures and saw that it was argent. A beautiful piece, but not too many top dog 71's have an argent grill

This is why my new convertible repro door panels I paid $300.00 for are just fine for me even though the grain is slightly off!

He also has a complete set of the E-body convertible stainless windshield trim for $2200.  I sold my spare convertible windshield trim for a fraction of that so a guy could complete his convertible. Oh well. I still have a complete 71 nos argent grille and headlight bezels I paid about $400 for in the mid 1980s.

And his PayPal payment method is "Friends & Family" only; so not only is the buyer eating the 2.9% transaction fee, you aren't covered under PayPals buyer protection because you used F&F.
Gotta love #'merica....

I know this Guy, Gold digger for sure!

I have absolutely no problem with people asking whatever they want for their parts.....and if he can find a buyer that is happy to pay that amount, all the power to him...It's like those guys that say "I'm gonna fix it one day".....he may just end up dying with these parts, and he might be happy doing so... :drinkingbud:  let his widow toss them out.... :'(

"Little Detroit" tried to sell me a tired rusty reverse lockout linkage for my Challenger a couple years ago, for $650.  I passed, and not long afterwards my linkage, which the restoration shop didn't bother installing, turned up in the bottom of a box of leftover and extra parts the shop gave me.  Plus soon after, Brewers finally got their repro reverse lockout linkages back in stock after being back ordered for several years, priced at $275.
So yes, that linkage will end up getting thrown out by his widow someday, after gathering dust by the grille and convertible interior panels indefinitely.  :bravo:
In my case, his overpricing was a good thing.  I was feeling desperate, if he'd asked $200 or $250, I'd probably have bought it. Then been pretty bummed I'd wasted money on a sketchy part when my lost original linkage turned up!
