Another "Viper Cuda" on eBay...  While I understand the effort that goes into building something like this, I suspect finding someone else who considers it worth nearly $90,000 is going to be a tall, tall order...

RK motors is normally at the high end of the price range.  But the car looks like someone spent a lot of time and money on it.

This car sold at Mecum Indy last month for $57k + fees and now RK Motors is jacking the price by $30,000.   


Edit: I sent a message to RK on ebay telling them it sold last month for $57k and asked why they are making it up $30k.  They responded "well, I guess you should have bought it then."

Yea...I agree ...It's the American way......You got to make money somehow. Would you expect them to buy it for $57K and sell it for $50K ?

Looks like they dropped the Cuda body on the Viper chassis, so it's a Viper center console and stack with a Cuda dash.  Actually seems to be a common method, as I've seen at least 2 other cars built like this.

Looks like they dropped the Cuda body on the Viper chassis, so it's a Viper center console and stack with a Cuda dash.  Actually seems to be a common method, as I've seen at least 2 other cars built like this.

Look at the under car pics.  The Cuda unibody is completely intact.  That's not a Viper chassis. I don't know if the suspension pieces are Viper or not though.  Who ever did the engine installation and suspension setup seems to have done a good job.

The car overall looks very well done except the interior IMO.  The front seats and console look completely out of place. Wheels are a matter of personal preference but I think it needs a bigger wheel/tire package. 

Back in the early 2000's there were a few Cudas that showed up to the Mopar Nats with this engine swap.  It was kind of a short lived fad.

I didn't scroll down far enough in the pictures - I see what you're talking about.  I can't decide which option would be the harder one to follow through with. 

I'm not sure how "short-lived" the fad is though - that's an '08 motor, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a '13 engine in an 60/70's era car at some point, with the variable valve timing and such.

It does look really well done, but it's also really beyond my price point!

I feel lucky to get $47.2K for the duster after seeing this. I considered selling at Mecum but after the seller fee's in May but would have had to get well into the $50K range to get what I ended up getting. The 'Cuda looks very nicely done...I think I would have added the cheese grater grille though.
