70 Cuda three speed variable wiper switch

On a '70 Cuda three speed variable wiper switch does anything attach to the red circled terminal on the back of the switch in the attached pic?  I've got two plugs that plug into the rest of the spades at the rear of the switch but I don't see any extra wires to attach to this post.     It's a Rallye dash if that makes any difference.   The second picture, from our forum  is a better close up
