Have an aftermarket alpine head unit. Was put in a few years back, was working as of last year prior to my engine swap and battery relocation. Constant is wired to the batt terminal on fuse block, switched is wired to the acc terminal, grounded to dash frame. Now when the car in accessory or running, the headunit won't power up. Only wiring I've changed is moving battery to the trunk but can't think of how that would impact? Fuses are good in block and inline fuses are good. Any ideas?

Not a huge deal as I'm planning on pulling the dash this winter but figure if I it's something dumb I can fix it so I have a radio for a show this weekend.

Did you check the terminals on the fuse block to make sure they have power to them with an Ohm meter

Yea, no issues there. I have a temporary oil psi gauge I wired up to both the batt and acc terminal and it worked fine.

possible grounding issue. sounds like you checked the inline fuse on the head unit. try moving the power to another fuseblock location (possible issue with that port). could also be related to the ACC lead (you should be able to test both with a light probe to see if either is getting juice)

I just upgraded all the speakers in my Dakota Quad (wow what a difference good speakers make), spent yesterday wiring up/routing the 4guage amp kit to prep for a 10"
