Hey guys, putting in new wiring and it is clear that a lot of the issues these cars face are related to the bulkhead and zero weather protection... Any thoughts on how to prevent corrosion forming and increasing resistance on the circuits? I was think a little dialectic grease on every connection would be helpful... Anybody do anything else with regards to the bulkhead?

I will be doing the ammeter bypass, direct wiring the alternator back to the battery, headlight relay setup... I have a 100amp alternator and will be improving chassis / engine ground as well...

I use dielectric grease on my connections.

Another vote for dielectric grease in any of the wiring plugs , I also use it in bulb sockets where bulbs can get siezed in .
Using relays for headlights & electric fans if you are using them , + the Alt bypass tot he start relay makes a huge difference removing a lot of the load through the bulkhead in & out .

Yup: I hate taking it apart afterwards but you won't have any problems most likely and won't have to take it apart anyway.
