Has anyone installed these lights in their Challenger? Wondering if they fit without any modifications and what you think of them.

Thanks

I installed them in this 1971 Challenger, they are a lot taller then a stock headlight and a lot of extra wiring. I had the cut large holes in the fenders for fitment of the outboard lights and wire access. I think they look real cool, not sure what they look like at night, as it wasn't my car.
I'm installing a set in a Cuda right now

Thanks. That's exactly the information I was looking for.
The lights look great. Just wish the assembly was an inch or so shorter...

So as you can see, the bulb sticks out the back quite a bit. I drilled two holes, one for the bulb, and one for the wiring to get back to the front side...

Cuda's must have a lot less headlight bucket depth than Challengers.  When I mocked mine up the bulbs are very close or possibly slightly touching the buckets, but I was able to easily mount them and screw down the trim rings without forcing anything.

In the black Challenger pictured above, there was no way these lights would fit, I had the cut the same two holes,  :dunno:

Weird.... Only thing I can think would be different possibly is that I used AMD fenders. Were your's OE?

Is there a difference in the bucket clearance between different model year Challengers? The black Challenger in the picture looks like it may be a 71. What year is the car you installed them in Dmod? The guy at Dapper told me the assembly measures 5.25" overall, which I thought might fit my 74 Challenger since I measured the opening at roughly 5.75".

In my case, both cars are 1971's and both have reproduction fenders....Maybe you bought different headlights D ?  :dunno: these were purchased by the customer, so I really don't know exactly what he ordered...

The fenders and grille on mine are 1970. Mine are the Dapper 575s with the higher wattage LEDs and the OE style glass, though I doubt that option affects backside clearance. I also got the HDR halo option, but that is wired via a separate pigtail around the perimeter. The pigtails and lights do look different than mine. Are they HID or actual LED?

This is the description on the invoice: Low Beam Bulb : 17W LED ~ 1800 Lumens......High Beam Bulb: Halogen ~ 800 Lumens
