Hello all, Dakota, if you don't mind can you revisit this thread? or anyone? Dome light connector is also in trunk and has power.
Where do i connect this connector for dome light to work?

It's been a minute or two since I've worked on that part of the car, but what I remember is that the connector in the photo was tied into the harness that runs under the driver side sill panel.   Best I can remember, it separated from the tail light harness around the rear wheel well arch.   The connector is joined with a pair of wires (yellow and pink?) which run between the headliner and roof skin from the dome light fixture.   I don't know how my 70 compares to other model years.   Hope this helps.

The wires from the dome light have the sister connector.
