I need help with a problem I ran into while installing a Turn Signal Cam switch.
I was in the middle of it when I pried the old cam off the shaft. The replacement looks the same.

When I looked at the base, I found this metal strip that I did not know about. It was loose and I do not know where it goes.
I looked at an old original switch assembly that I had replaced in the past and I do not see it on the old one.
This is an low mileage car and I believe this is the first time it's been apart.

Anyone know what that metal strip is or where it goes.

It looks like it may be a spring and goes in like this picture, but I'm not sure. It fits there.

Slotts

That's where it goes.  :bigthumb:

Be careful. Don't get caught drinking the Kool-Aid or believing the hype.

Thanks a bunch. I checked it out and it did not short to the terminals and it fit, so I was proceeding with it that way.

Don't you just love taking something apart and finding a extra part.

I found the same bar. Poped out on me. I didn't know where it went either. Put it all back together without it.. my brake lights and left rear blinker still don't work. This has to be in? Or it doesn't connect to anything?
It's Amazing what we can accomplish~

With just a little bit of hard work.

And a whole LOT of complaining!!... lol
