Where are the horns mounted on a 73 Cuda? There doesn't seem to be any holes on the inner fender like I normally see unless I'm missing something. It is does have the original panels but everything is missing.

Post a photo of your passenger side inner fender up near the washer bottle area.

They probably mount in front of the radiator like a 72-74 Challenger.  The charcoal canister takes the space where the horns were located in earlier years.

Thanks, thought I was going nuts. I'm usually good at E body puzzles. Damn basket cases!

Another thing to point out is the in 1972+ the horn bracket itself is threaded while in 70-71 it is not.

Insurance and safety were becoming priorities after 71'.

Bumpers were being upgraded, seat beltsystems re evaluated.
Quite a few other changes as well besides Horsepower being lowered.    :headbang:

Horns moved to the front were likely along with these changes albeit.

The charcoal canister that was used in 72+ was mounted in the old horn location.  So in a way, it was emissions laws that required the horns to be moved.

anlauto

The charcoal canister was never mounted in the horn location. :alan2cents: If anything the washer jug was in the way....In your 1973 picture you can still clearly see the two mounting locations for the horns (without threaded holes) :alan2cents:
