I am sorting out the electrical issues on my 74 'Cuda and am now on the topic of horns.  They are missing from my car.  I cleaned up the front light harness and found a single wire, green/red stripe with a single female spade connector.  According to the wiring diagram this is the horn wire.  It is my understanding from the diagram that there are two horns.  I assume the single wire attaches to horn one and there would be a jumper wire that connects horn one to horn two?  If anyone could provide pictures of wiring and how/where they attach to the car would be greatly appreciated.  Also, is the horn relay plugged into the fuse box inside the car? I have what appears to be a relay mounted on the driver's side inner fender that is beside the ignition relay.  The best I can tell, this is something for the seat belts....maybe?

Here is the other relay I mentioned and a photo of my harness connector

On my 1970 Barracuda, my wiring harness has two spade connectors.  The wire enters spade #1, and another dark-green/red wire leaves spade #1, and connects to spade #2 with about 12-inches of lead between them.

It's unclear if this differed in 1974.   If it isn't supposed to be different, you seem to be missing the second part of the harness.  Closely examine the wire side of that spade connector.  Maybe you can see evidence of the missing 2nd wire.

@mopar1  74 e-bodies only got one horn.  I can only assume Chrysler needed to save money for the federally mandated starter interlock system and bumper boobs.  The Dealership Data Books confirm.  Note where it states "Horn - Single" as standard equipment.  The 74 service manual wiring diagram shows the single horn, but the 74 parts manual shows 2 horns.

I have a 74 cuda that came with a single Sparton LO horn mounted on the upper portion of the center grill post.  I just recently added a Sparton HI horn.  There is a mounting location on the lower portion of the center grill post for the HI horn.  I made a splitter with 16 gauge wire, as used in the wiring diagram.

The box next to the ignition relay is the starter interlock manual by-pass switch.   More here.

No problem.  Glad to help.  If you have other 74 specific questions, let me know.

My build sheet lists only one horn for my 73 Cuda.

I think they are all like this, the J31 code refers to both horns... a horn assembly, if you will, hi and low, part numbers #2808868(Low) #2808869(High)

Note even the 1974 parts book lists both part #s for the horns on an e-body. refer to section 8-32-2.

UNCOFIRMED:  But as others have said, in later years, this code referred to only a single horn.  I presume its the lower.

Interesting.  My 74 broadcast sheet has nothing listed in the Miscellaneous J3 slot.
