power distribution block(bus bar)

I'm going to be running a power distribution block under the battery tray.  I'd like your input on what kind to use.  I'll run a power wire from the starter relay to the distribution block to power it.  From there, I plan to power my headlight relays and convertible top relays.  The headlight relays will be mounted under the battery tray as well.  The convertible top relays will be mounted on the interior...back by the pump.

Once it arrived it was WAY bigger then I thought it would be.  I don't think I can easily hide it under the battery tray.  I also don't think I need (4) 3/8" studs for what I need to power.  So, here's my first question.  What is the size of the stud on the starter relay?  I'm thinking 5/16.  If it's 5/16 then that's the size of post I should run on the distribution block.  I found this one which is more compact but it only has a 1/4" stud.

I like the look of this one but are those screw connections large enough to power the headlights and top?  Maybe I should stick to something that just uses the studs like this one.

I used the ones shown below.  They're headed for the area under the battery,  but I haven't mounted them yet.  I like that they have covers over the terminals to prevent accidental contact.   I have some other single post terminal blocks without covers that I'll be using for ground connections.

Jegs sells them with and without the bus bar.  I bought them without the bar, and they ended up buying the bar separate as I needed the extra connection points.   

The block on the right brings in the feed from the alternator and runs out to the starter relay, dash power, and FiTech power. I'm using the block on the left for my 4 ready feed/ (high and low beam, fuel pump, and a/c clutch).  The smaller terminal in both blocks is being used for a jumper between them (one end Is not connected yet). 

I'll get this stuff off the fender, but I'm mostly leaving everything out so I can see if there are problems when I put the battery to it for the first time in 1.2 million years.

I bought a couple of the ones in your first link Darren. For the Javelin. One red and one black.


Edit: I stand in error close, they look similar but with 5/16 posts and a little bit cheaper.

A word of caution, don't buy stuff from China as it takes months to arrive. Unless you don't mind the wait?

I've looked at the first one in Burdar's post again.  I think that will work better under the battery than where I've been headed.  Thanks and  :headbang:

So is the post on the starter relay 5/16"?  I don't have one handy to measure.

Or just stop by the wreckers & get one from under the hood of older GM trucks , most had them on the firewall for a number of years

Felt bad no one had answered you yet.....     just went out and measured mine, yes the bigger lug is 5/16 " :handshake:

Thanks guys.  I think I found one that will work.  I just ordered a convertible top relay kit from "Crackedback" and want to get the wiring under the battery tray all figured out.
