I had the Challenger out the other day and it would randomly die and restart. Tach would go to zero and then rebound and the car would run fine. I have a Rev-N-Nator ECU, about 10 years old. Just wondering if that could be the problem. Has anyone had similar troubles with one?

Check ignition coil? How old is the coil? Try a spare if you have one. Also the fuel filter.

maybe recheck/clean the grounding for the ECU

While the car is running, grab ahold of the wiring connecter that comes down from the steering column and give it a wiggle.  I had a loose connection on the blue "run" wire in that connector and the car would die.  Check all the connections on the blue wire.  Steering column, bulkhead exc.

First disconnect the tach. The tach has stranded more than just a few cars....

Yes good advice!  I had an intermittent start issue with my car sometime ago.  I had to wiggle the main harness coming from the steering column and it would fire right up.  I cleaned and tightened up the connections with zip ties and no issues since!!!
