are the mounts the same or similar , I have never done this swap  :notsure:
I believe the belhousing pattern is the same or am I wrong

Never done it but my uncle did.... My understanding is bell housing & mounts interchange to a 318 LA so a 360 needs spacers on the drivers side mount...

Thank You Wild, This is what I believed also

I tried this back in the early 70's, putting a 318 LA into my 64 Polara poly and found the pocket for the torque converter was too small in the LA crank flange to take the poly converter, so check that because it's no fun trying to get that last 3/4" when it won't go. I even took the converter to a machine shop trying to turn the nose down enough and it cut right through before it got to where it had to go. :(
In the immortal words of Jimmy Scott- "pace yourself!"

This one had an LA bolted to the stock K-frame and pushbutton 727 when I bought it. Easy swap I guess. Psycho, I'm sure you know, you would have to swap a later pump in to use a 360 Torq? Not sure when they changed the pumps, 67 or 68 I think.

This is for a 65 Fargo W300 Power Wagon with a 4 gear so it would just need the pilot bushing
