I was thinking something similar welding steel plates on outside of the mounts and drill new holes. However not sure the rubber can take the heat without damage.

My motor mount saga continues. First Schumacher polyloc motor mounts are out of stock. Their regular mounts are available with their torque straps but the torques straps won't work with my Hotchikis sway bar mount. So I ordered a set of Mity Mounts instead. Similar idea and slightly different design but suppose will hold together. So the new mounts arrived today. Warranty said only good for application with engine no more than 120% of stock HP rating. Pretty much Gone with the Wind with the warranty.
Next I made comparison with the stock mounts and they look decently closed. Test fit on the K frame with the PS mount and fit nice. Test fit the DS and it won't sit flat on the K frame. The front (toward radiator) mounting ears is too big and it hit the k frame. Picture shows the difference with the solid line from the stock mount and the dash line from the Mity mount. Mity mount front left, stock mount front right and the Magnum mount at the back. Also , the nut was welded at an angle and the bolt can't be tighten. All the guy need to do was put a bolt through then tighten before tacking the nut to the mount but they did not bother. May be it is my luck? Too much to ask for a simple motor mount?  :notsure:

Next step, take out the grinder to trim the ear and then take the nut off. I will use a new nut with some Loctie instead. I hope this will do it. I won't get to try to fit the engine on the K frame until next weekend.

Also for whoever considering the Mity mount, the bolt dimension is within 3/32" of the stock so should be no problem. The Magnum mount was off close to 1/2" and off to one side which was too much. The metal thickness of the Mity mount is also less than the stock and Magnum mounts. Hope it will hold.

That's new to me? I'm using both?   Maybe it's the difference between BB and SB? :notsure:

Brad, looks like you made it work. Do you have to drill a hole for the bottom sway bar bracket bolt. The Schumacher installation photos do not show a sway bar and I was not sure it is going to fit. Kind of gun shy of buying stuff and they don't fit. BTW, Schumacher torque strap kit for E body is same for big and small blocks, just use different mounting holes for the adjustable rod.

It's been awhile.... I can't remember, I think it all just bolted together?
