73 A-833

Pulled the A-833 out of my 73 challenger because it's leaking quite a bit so I'm going to go through it, and then re seal it up.
Found some neat factory inspection paint marks which I'll replicate.
My understanding is these transmissions and tail pieces were left bare cast metal, but there is quite a bit of black paint remenants on the tranny.
Were these for sure left cast out of the factory? If it was painted after the factory, it was done a long time ago.
