Regarding 741 cases used in an E-body, not only does my 70 Cuda convertible 340-4 speed  have a 741

case, it is 3:91 sure-grip as well.

7260 yoke on the front, large 7290 u-joint on the rear.

Not that it matters but of the 88 340-4spd Cuda convertibles built in 1970,  supposedly 19 were

A31 Performance Axle Package equipped 3:91 sure-grip.

wanted to spend more time on this - but didn't want it to get lost ....

the T/A ( # 2883782 ) & AAR (# 2883769 ) driveshafts have a small 7260 u-joint on the front & a large 7290 u-joint on the rear (same as 340 4bbl)

@mccannix I think someone's been in there  :thinking: it should be a 489 big u-joint w/3.91s

not that it is the be all end all - but the 1970 "parts catalog" only shows a 489 3.91:1 gear set for J & B
