Okay I'm redoing my 8 3/4 rear end housing for the second time since the powder coated finish left visible pits. I have a good detailed picture of the rear end markings I uncovered before finishing it the first time, the "G" is easy to I.D and from what I've found the bottom mark should be part of an "X" with a circle around it but the one I'm having trouble with is the top mark that looks like a sideways "J" and can find no help on the inter webs, I would like to recreate this as close to original as possible but don't think a "J" is correct because it looks like there's more to it than just that. Any help would greatly be appreciated.  The rear end is out of a 71' Cuda with a 3.23 SG  and a SPD of 430.

Is the "J" what's left of an "e" with a circle around it?

Dave Wise but I would hate to spend several hundreds of dollars and the info not be there.

I can help out there.  Here are pics from the 8 3/4 detail section of my Dave Wise books.  :bigthumb:

Thank you, the one sideways "E" toward the top of your pictures defiantly looks what I have left for original markings.
