Working on installing engine accessories on my 1970 AAR Cuda with original 340 engine.  I have a question about the two spacers used to mount the alternator.  According to the Dave Wise E-Body hardware book, one spacer that goes next to the engine head should be 1.20" long, and the other spacer that goes between the two alternator mounting ears should be 2.14" long.  Do these lengths sound correct?  One of the spacers I have measures about 1.28", and the other about 2.00" in length.  Do I have the correct length spacers?  Can the bushing that is installed in one ear of the alternator be pressed slightly in or out to accommodate different engine tolerances and spacer length tolerances?  See picture.

Other Issue:
It appears my engine builder used a crankshaft damper with a symmetrical bolt pattern for mounting the pulley.  The pulley that I have has a non-symmetrical bolt pattern (2 groove pulley, one groove for alternator and water pump drive, and the other groove for power steering pump drive).  See picture.  Would symmetrical or non-symmetrical bolt pattern have been correct for my 1970 340 car?  Were there certain years or engines that Chrysler used the symmetrical and non-symmetrical bolt patterns?  I guess my options are:
1.  Use the non-symmetrical bolt pattern pulley that I have, and mount it with only 5 of the 6 bolts that line up.
2.  Drill out the one hole that currently doesn't line up to allow mounting with all 6 bolts.
3.  Find a new symmetrical bolt pattern pulley.  Anybody have a good used pulley for sale?
Any thoughts on the above options?

Thanks for the help.

The bushing will move to accommodate your spacers.
On the pulley. At this point I would just slot the one bolt hole for your pulley. IMO  I've ran into that many times and you might have a hard time finding something that lines up perfect. It's not going cause any issues and won't show once the bolt is installed.

Regarding the pulley and balancer bolt holes, just make the one hole in the pulley oval... that's what I've had to do... no problems after that.
