Anyone running Bouchillon's kickdown cable with 440 Six Pack?

I'm trying to get the transmission sorted on the wife' 440 Six Pack Challenger.

I'm using a Bouchillon kickdown cable setup that was with the car when we got it.
I've done some research on these cables and it seems many people are happy with them but I haven't seen anyone using it with a Six Pack setup.

I installed the setup per instructions, I had to use the factory Six Pack throttle bracket which I slightly modified to get to work.

I can't seem to get the transmission shift points correct.
I called Bouchillon and they told me the Six Pack setups can be tricky.
They told me the best way to adjust the cable is by sliding back and forth the "L" bracket that holds the kickdown cable at the throttle cable bracket on the intake.
They suggest setting the kickdown cable to where the lever on the trans is all the way back at full throttle but when that is done the tranny doesn't shift.
If I understand right I'm looking for 1-2 shift at about 20-25mph and 2-3 shift at 30-35mph?
If I move the L bracket further forward(towards the front of the car) the 1-2 shift is better but the 2-3 shift is late, if at all.
While doing some test driving it seems the 2-3 shift won't happen unless I let off the throttle a bit.

Anyone have any experience or advice?

Thanks.

Is running a stock kickdown not an option?  I've had great luck with stock kickdowns on 6 packs.

It is an option, my late father in law had already purchased the Bouchillon setup and I've heard good reviews on them so I wanted to at least try it.

If I can't get this Bouchillon unit to work using a stock kickdown setup will be plan B but from pricing them they're not cheap $$$$$

Any idea if the stock kickdown setup will work with 1 7/8" Hooker Comp. Headers?
