Talking with the engine builder and we are discussing intake manifolds and cylinder heads. Curious if anyone is running a short deck (B engine) Indy EZ max wedge port with the Indy #400-2 single plane intake. Curious if this combo will clear under a stock cuda hood?

Or

If the Edelbrock Victor or Trick flow single plane (with standard ports) on B engine will clear under a stock cuda hood?

I really appreciate any first hand experience. I don't want to build a motor and then have a clearance issue. Bonus points for any pictures of the setup!!

I built a 451 with EZ heads & the RB  Holley Street Dom intake , lots of room & great power

Seems to me that I am running the first combo with the max wedge ports.  I used that intake for that exact reason . . because I wanted to keep my dual snorkel hood.  I was not able to use a stud for the low profile / drop air cleaner as it was that close but a bolt holds it down and clears with no issues.  Hope this helps!

You could always just drive over and look!
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

Well there you go!  Figured there had to be at least one.  I appreciate the offer, would like to see it sometime since your basically a town over!

Do you have a engine/car build thread anywhere?  Would like to here what your engine is if your willing to share.  c.i. , power, comp. , cam.

We are discussing a 471. low deck.  for pump gas and hyd. flat tappet.  and which manifold will be best and will fit.

Thanks,
Wayne
