I'm about ready to venture some cash on a starter core and want to double check my lacking decoding skills. Can someone tell me the date code from the stampings?

I am thinking the first week of March of '70.

That's where my guess was roughly placed but I'm not good on starters nor the sundial embossings. The 09104 still has me stumped.

09104 is the vendor number.

First,  there are 2 date codes on the 1970 Chrysler starter.  Each half has a part number and date. Back of starter, the Armature or Motor housing (metal Black case) has a three digit date code (example - 080 ) for the week and year. 080 would be 8th week 1970 (good for 340 AAR or T/A motors). The part number/casting is 2875560 stamped above the date code with Chrysler on top.

The front half, Pinion gear housing(or Solenoid housing), has a date code wheel and a casting Part number 2875553. The date wheel has the year (70, 69, 68, etc.) in the center and 12 sections specific to the front housing assembly only.  There are 12 "pie" sections that can be filled with raised dots. Each pie section is a month and each dot is a week. Often, after 50 years the dots get worn, damaged or were never really cast with great accuracy. The first "pie" with dot(s) would be read as January 1970 casting and the second "pie" would be read as February, etc..  Not all "pies" have consistent dots based on the quality of the casting and ware over time. Problem with 70 starters (really hard to find) is over the years when starters were brought in for rebuilding they often swapped the cases around so the numbers and dates got mixed up. An accurate 1970 Starter should have very similar date ranges for example the back case should be begining of 1970 (080) and the front housing assembly end of 69 or 1st, month of 1970.

Looking at your 1970 starter picture, closely, I can see dots, faintly, in the June "pie" but march, april...or June, its really hard to tell
