My understanding is that getting 7 years out of a battery is pretty good. Yeah, you had some interesting situations.

As reference, My CTC battery lasted from Jun. 23/12 to Jul. 13/17 (5 years). Replaced it that day with a Costco one that's still going strong, as it should for being only 4 years old.

Relays are easy. 15 to $20 dollars US. Can get them at just about any parts store. May need to be ordered. Mine was ordered in the morning and I picked it up at 5p.

I agree with Chryco Psycho. Cables that have a bad connection/ Bad shorted/ old, the  starter relay or starter solenoid
