Trouble

My clutch pedal on my 70 barracuda seems to be low. The car is shifting fine. Also I am able  to take the clutch pedal and pull it up almost 4 inches though it's spring loaded and then push it back down again

@Trouble  :welcome: to the forum! you should have about an inch of free play. I would adjust it tighter to an inch, and test drive.

Chryco Psycho

you need to lengthen the adjuster rod , with the pedal that low there is constant pressure on the release bearing & it will fail quickly

Welcome tot he site from Panama as well

Trouble

How far from the floor should my clutch pedal be  engaging?mine seems to be 2 inches from floor.

Chryco Psycho

you shoudl have 3/4 -1" of free travel at the top of the pedal travel , this way the over center spring will pull the pedal up all the way without lifting it with your toe under the pedal

Trouble

I brought my 70 Cuda to a  transmission place to have him adjust my clutch because it was too low.
When I opened  the hood he told me  to step on the clutch. He said to me something must be broken because he doesn't see the linkage moving when I step on the clutch. I told him I don't have any problems putting the car in gear. This is a transmission place! Can anyone guide me along?

RUNCHARGER

You have to access the clutch rod from underneath the car. It runs from the clutch fork to the clutch crossshaft (or Z-bar). It is very easy to adjust.
