Coolant Flow

well..the drilled holes aren't to let the crud through. They're to let coolant and air bubbles through even at idle. I think some of the problem with the prestone stuff was that it the motor didn't get hot enough in my 10 min drive to work to really let it into the system. I'm still baffled as to why it took 20 minutes idling to heat up enough to open the thermostat. Makes me think that the cooling passages in the rear of the block are really plugged.

Thermocure says to run it with straight water, so that's what I'm going to do there. Hopefully get to it tonight and drive it over the next few days.

I think I'm most worried about the block being too gummed up and I'm going to have to pull freeze plugs and flush that way.
