The car i just got has shortened axles to accommodate wide racing slicks.  Hate to buy a new rear end, any chance someone sells axle tubes, or can they even be replaced?

Cass at Dr. Diff would be the first place I would check.  I think he makes them so he should have the tubes and new axles.... but I don't think it's super easy to replace?  :notsure:  Might need to send him the rear end and have him do it.

How far are you from Louisville Co.? Try Mark Williams enterprises. They specialize in drivetrain parts and could fix you up without any shipping

NO problem When I built my Dana one tube was already too short , welded in new tubes & custom housing ends too .
you may be able to sell the narrowed diff for enough to substantially subsidize a new diff though , many people want narrowed Danas

Thanks for the info all, I will make some calls to shops here in Colorado to see what they can do.

A friend somehow bent the tube in his Dana 60 in his blown Challenger. A local shop put a new one in, it's a bit tricky getting the old tube out cleanly and you have to make sure the new one goes in square and the ends get welded on square of course.
