The dipstick on my 383 will not stay in all the way. I've bent it a little to give it more tension, but I started wondering if that was a sign of too much crankcase pressure ?  Valve cover breather and  PCV are in perfect condition.

Doesn't the dipstick attach to the motor mount? I have a chrome mopar dipstick in my RB and it was a tight fit and it bolts to the motor mount so it can't come out.

I believe he is saying the engine pressure is sliding the actual dipstick up the tube , it could be crankcase pressure or it could be sitting inside the pan incorrectly & the vibration is pushing it up , try bending the last 3 " or so to a different angle & see if it continues
