No start in park

72 barracuda starter only operates in the neutral detent. New drive train (440/727). New neutral safety switch (3 connector harness). Starter only engages in the neutral detent. Is there an adjustment I'm missing?

This issue comes up frequently, apparently there are a lot of out of spec switches being sold... One member found Autozone Part CR 401 solved his problem
Or you may just need a minor linkage adjustment

Check in your Factory Service Manual for adjustments.
