NSS Plug not fitting

My NSS plug doesn't seat. It is like it shrunk a little bit. Any one deal with this? Any solutions other than getting a new plug? I don't want to splice in a new one if I don't need to. Tips?

There is supposed to be a washer / Gasket in there
