I swear I'm going to clean out on of these days. What was this from? The bell looks GM universal to me - Chebbie or BPO. Don't really care about that tho

The 9A272893 looks like the last numbers of a 1969 (or 1979) VIN.

the transmission is from an A12 440+6bbl road runner RM21M9A272895 or RM23M9A272895 - it is 18-spline, correct?

@BIGSHCLUNK can you clean up that VIN pad and take additional pics? it's an oddity for sure, upside-down stamped VIN and the spacing looks wider than normal (probably hand stamped?)

Some years age I acquired 3/4 of a 68 satellite which led to a shell 69 RR w the core support from the saty. anyway with it came a crap load of loose parts. the trans was part of it, thats all I know

Don't you love buying a car and getting a whole bunch of parts with it and trying to figure out the story. When I bought my Charger it came with shit ton of parts not all of which were Charger parts. The odd one looked brand new except for a slight paint scratch around the screw hole so you knew it had been mounted at some point but here it was with the spare parts. Why? I love contemplating what a PO has done on a vehicle and trying to figure out "why did you ever do that?" -or- nice, that was brilliant!
