I have read up to 700 HP when built, should be good enough for my application.

@Brads70 what engine set up are y9ou running (sorry, could not find it quickly and CRS is in full swing)?  I was pretty sure I would go 3.54, but after your comments, now I am leaning towards the 4.10s as I agree the shot out of a cannon launch is the fun part!

Man - I hate these decisions - I tend to make myself mental with trying to find the right choice, when in reality, if 4.10s are too low, I can always swap in the 3.54 I have....

Also, any opinions on what option brings the most value to the car?  It is an original 440-6 w/ console shift auto and Dana 60, broadcast sheet but non #s matching engine.  Although resale value is not a primary factor in building this car, I want to maintain the integrity and value as much as possible - maybe having the original trans with a Gear Vendors OD makes more sense?

Sorry for all the questions - I just find the more discussion I have that eventually the right answer presents itself, and having all the experience members here have sure helps - thanks
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

I have a pretty healthy 451"BB stroker. As to the value of the car.... in my case it was irrelevant as mine is a /6 car that had a tired motorhome 440 in it when I got it.

I'd go with the 3.54s you have.
It's only 100RPM lower compared to 3.73s at 65mph.
You can always change later, if you feel the need.

I figure value is sort of irrelevant if it can be swapped back easily....

@Brads70 you running the 518 trans as well?  What did you use for an adapter / install?

I think I am going to go 4.10 and hold on to the 3.54s.  My gut tells me I will like the acceleration and I don't think the trade off is that much in RPM at cruising speeds, 338 RPM @ 70 MPH roughly

One more thing - what brand gears and where to buy does everyone recommend?

No not the 518 , A41 stage 3 kit from silver sport. I like that 3.06 first gear with the 4:10 works great IMO.  As mentioned in your Dana 60 post.

Right!!  Thank you, tooany threads and too far down the rabbit hole?

I made some notes of threads to review and links to read up on so I have it all in one place.... Hopefully pull the trigger on something this weekend.

Thanks everyone!  Super helpful
