Well, after two years exactly, my NM 440 is ready for pickup at my machine shop. Break in and dyno were phenomenal. Still grinning. As I prepare my spotless and powder coated original K frame to use as a carry crate when I pick up the engine next week, I noticed an oddity (to me anyway). The engine mount brackets use the 7/16 x 4-1/4 bolts (with 3/8 shank, oddly), yet the hole in the bracket and K frame standoff are slightly over 5/8" which leaves a large amount of slop. Is this normal? Is a sleeve needed (I know the answer is probably no)? Just seems like a 440 resting on that much slop is not good. Since I didn't remove the engine originally, I'm confused. Fill me in, please.
