MOPAR MITCH

I like my 3.23 gears... 70 mph is about 3200 (26" tires, 727 trans, BM Holeshot ~2400 stall).

I can pylon autocross perfectly in all first gear runs; take hi-speed road course in 2nd-3rd gears; highway cruising in 3rd at around 27---3200 ... no problems at all.

I also have 3.55, 3.91 .... both better for accelerating, but runs out of rpms too quickly.

I also have a 2.94 ring and pinion for a clutch setup... I'll eventually try that ... math calculates about 500 rpm drop on then highway in 3rd gear, and able to hold on longer in 1st and 2nd gears when running on-road race tracks (same for pylon events).

Yeah, OD would be nice.. but for the little the car is driven... and the added weight and expense/hassle, etc, I'll stay with my current setup.

My 2-cents... ;))<

I checked the gear ratio. For every rotation of the tire, the driveshaft turns about  3 1/4 times (a little less than 3 1/4).

Thanks for your input. I agree with the OD install. I live in So Cal and I know what you mean about the hot temps.
