It's been forever since I've bought a PCV valve.  I seem to remember the Fram parts with a metal body?  When I look now they are all plastic construction.
Not looking for resto correct, just something functional that won't break.
What are you guys using?

Thx

I have one of the metal barrel PCV's on my SL6, believe I bought it at NAPA, will work on a V8 as well.   Thanks,   Al

So I'm not crazy, there was at 1 time PCVs with metal bodies.
Checked NAPA, only plastic just like everywhere else I looked.
Looks like the originals were plastic too........................

Thx for the help

I think the metal bodied PCV valves were last used by the factory in 69. At least on the V8 engines. They were plastic from then on.

Didn't mean to throw you a curve Katfish, I do buy various engine asseccories from NAPA, because I can find certain parts for the older cars, they do carry an Echlin line name, which I find is adequate for my needs. Again sorry for the mislead, took a pic of my engine to show the metal barrel on my PCV. I know it hasn't been on there for 44 years, they do wear out the little ball inside sometimes doesn't want to rattle, no matter what you do to keep it freed up.    Thanks,   Al

I checked RockAuto for 68 Charger and it shows options for a metal body.
Funny thing is it also shows 1 of the same plastic body parts for 70 up.

So problem solved, I can get either version.

Appreciate the help!
