Proper transmission linkage set up connecting to carburetor

Hi Dennis here I've been having problems shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear with my 727 transmission .

Is the kickdown linkage there or adjusted properly? You can easily burn up a transmission without one or adjusted correctly . Here are a couple options if the stock parts are missing.....
