I bought an air cleaner for my 340 but it's to wide that it hits the distributor. It's not original of course. I am looking at some after market options but noticed they don't have the PCV connection.

What do you all recommend? Are there aftermarket air cleaners with the PCV connections, or a breather filter instead, or other? Draw backs to a breather filter?

Bullitt-

PCV connects to base of carburetor, the tube to the OE air cleaner is for the valve cover breather.
A quick search revealed this one with provisions for the breather tube,  not common apparently

These 68/69 reproductions are an alternative, full size filter but smaller overall than later models.... I've had an original on my 340 since the late '70's

I have the same one as Bullit listed in the first link but it's a 14". New in box but maybe 14" is too wide for you.
I'm using the same one he listed in the second link on my 340.

@Bullitt- Thanks for the info. I've never seen that style of air cleaner with a breather connection. I have an old summit one and it looks like there is a stamp where it would go, but I've never seen anything that would fit on there. Thanks for the ink, I will probably pick one up.

My Camero had one of those filters. It was on the side of the air cleaner.
