My '70 'Cuda is a factory original N96 Shaker 440 "U" code equiped car.  When I purchased the car it was in pieces and the engine was out of the car. My question is did the "U" code (single four barrell) shaker baseplate attach to anywhere on the engine to keep it from rotating other than the just tightening the wing nut on the top of the air cleaner? Obviously this wouldn't be an issue with a 6 barrel shaker assembly or on a Hemi with two four barrells as the multiple carbs would keep the baseplate in position.  However with just a single four barrel, even with the wing nut tightened down, the Shaker assemble will rotate slightly out of alighnment with the center line of the hood when I drive the car. When I restored the car and shaker assembly I didn't find a brackets/bracing to attach the shaker base to the engine. I have the original baseplate and bubble, air cleaner lid, factory drain hoses that attach to the underside of the shaker baseplate and the factory carb air cable, but nothing else.  Just wondering if this is correct or am I missing a part that fastens the shaker to the engine and keeps it from rotating? If there is a bracket or attachment location, pictures would be greatly appreciated of what it looks like and where it attaches along with any suppliers who migh carry this part.  Thanks in advance.

Because Chrysler built so few 440-4 barrel shaker based cars in 1970 , they didn't consider using any feet brackets or attachments to further secure the base like the 340,383, 440-6 or hemi had.
I know it seems odd but that is the way it worked.
