swapping to B body 8 3/4 axle

I got a 70 challenger originally with a 318 and 7.25 rear. I swapped a 340 in it back in 1990. So now I'm looking to swap it with a 8 3/4. I got one from a B-Body (not sure which one). It appears the challenger is wider in all measurements. Of course the perches  need to be moved. Will B Body rear ends work? Are there any issues with it being narrower?

[303 Mopar]

A lot of people use b-body rear ends to allow for a wider wheel/tire. Just get the relocation brackets and you are all set!

@Cuda Cody Thanks! I've seen similar ones. It looks like the pre '70s B-Body are narrower.

@303 Mopar Thanks, Hopefully it will work. I was going to re locate the perches, but if there is a kit, that may work. I didn't realize that. I'll check it out.

I installed a 1967 B body 8 3/4 rear end under my wifes's 1971 Challenger using Dr. Diff's offset hanger kit.

It was a bolt in deal.
The only cutting was to trim a little metal off the rear valance support brackets to clear the rear spring hangers and rebend the rear sway bar if you have one.

With the extra clearance I was able to install a 15x10 wheel.

Yes: It's a great swap actually. The Dr. Diff mounts make it easy.

Exactly you Do not need to move the perches at all , just use the offset spring mounts & it all bolts in
This is assuming you have the earlier / narrow B body diff of course
