Tore down my 727

After determining my issues last summer were likely transmission related, and finding all kinds of metal in the pan (see first pic), i dropped the trans and pulled it apart. I am working on a A500 install.

I got my little guy to help pull it apart, which was awesome.

I did not  find as much damage as expected. The clutches seemed burnt, but given the metal in the pan I was sure I would fine some major hard part damage.

Any thoughts????

Have you pulled the planetarium off the output shaft?  Check the pinions for movement, it looks like the front planetary may have some excess clearance & the rear planetary can't be seen at all....

Also how was the endplay on the input & how is the endplay in the convertor....
