Does anyone have any experience with the Trick Flow heads for small block?  Doing another Mopar build and am considering them over the Edelbrock.  Trick Flow is a local company.  The heads are made 20 min from my house.

I used Trick Flow on a stroked 289 in my '65 Mustang with great results - not sure that helps.  I have a friend that builds Cobra replicas and he said he uses both all the time with fairly equal results.

Clearly not very scientific but he has had no issues over the last 20 or so years
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

Need some more details. What are your goals for the engine?

The engine is for my 32 Plymouth.  It is a 360.  Pre-magnum Roller cam.  Still deciding if I am going to do a stock stroke or a 408 stroker.  Wanting to make some good HP and torque.  Just getting started on planning the build.  Thinking about my options.

First of all, stroker all the way. In my experience, it's generally the same money to get the stock parts refurbished and up to snuff so might as well go new and take advantage of the extra cubes at the same time. Stroker will increase torque and typically lower the peak HP RPM as well which is easier on parts. Torque is king on the street and a 408" will make plenty.

If you believe what you read on the forums, TFs are generally regarded as "better" heads than Ebrocks. They have more runner volume for sure. I believe they also come with good hardware (PAC) as opposed to the Edelbrocks which come with basic stuff that most people end up tossing when they step up the camshaft. Probably worth the price of admission for that alone.

I agree, I would blow right past the Edelbrocks and run the Trick Flows, also a vote for the stroker. That will be a strong combination.

Trickflow heads are CNC If I recall correct and Edelbrock CNC heads need to pay extra. Trickflow flow numbers are higher and they can packaged with roller rockers. I don't know if the heads are cast in US or oversea but definitely machined here in US. There should be some videos on Youtube.

I have a good buddy that builds mainly race engines that is not a fan of edlebrock heads, says he is yet to see a pair that didn't need the seats touched up. I have heard nothing but good things about the trick flows though. If I were building another engine thats how I would lean.
