Personal choice I suppose. I like them setup so you just wood it and hang on without thinking about doing 1/2 throttle or whatever. Yes 2nd gear at say 1500RPM should work. I forget if you're running 4 speed or automatic. I used to set them in the pits and just go against the convertor with the brakes locked with an automatic.

AT 3000 rpm it can open very quickly & not bog , so it depends on the driving style 1500 or so would make more sense , Adjust to where it feels right for the way you drive

Sounds good. Sounds like i should actually begin at lower RPMs...problem is trying to not activate the "kickdown" which messes up what I should be feeling.

I actually think it's working good now, but again, I suppose the idea is to dial back (increase tension) until it bogs. I suppose the idea is leaner is better. Leaner = power. Is a "close enough" vs "dead on" air door really a power difference?

If it feels pretty lively I bet it is close.
